Rockclimbing (Zurich)

Hi everyone,

I noticed there are a few rock-climbers on this board.
I'm studying/working in Switzerland for the next 3 months, and I'm from Australia.

Anyway I'm going to go check out "Minimum Bouldering" Zürich very soon because it seems reasonably priced.

But I really want to check out "Kletterzentrum Gaswerk",
I was wondering if anyone has been there?
http://gaswerk.kletterzentrum.com/home.php

I have an ISIC card so I should get student price of 16Francs entry.
I also have my own shoes, chalk and harness.

So I believe I only need to hire a rope and/or a belay device. (unless there is top-roping here).

So just wondering if anyone has been and can give reviews/feedback or any info on prices, hiring, if they have top-roping etc.

Also maybe if someone has a rope and they want an intermediate partner (i climb 19/20 in Australia if that system is used here) it'd be good to try some indoor lead because I've only seconded outdoors.

Cheers
-Owen

Re: Rockclimbing (Zurich)

Hi! Search the forum for Gaswerk and you'll find a couple of opinions. A reasonable part of their routes are top rope and you should be able to rent everything required, I think.
