Before I embarrass myself by calling around, does anyone on here know of any ski resorts which are willing to let mountain bikes on the piste?

I'm willing to do some pedalling uphill, but the bike's 19kg so I'd ideally like some gondola/lift assistance.

The reason for this stupid question is that I've signed up for a downhill race on a glacier and want to get in some practice of falling hard on snow and ice from a bike!

Falling hard on snow and ice from a snowboard I've got down to an artform.

Any tips are welcome.

Tip 1:
Go up the week after the race and practice for next year!

Tip 2:
Try one of these things in Grindelwald.

Tip 3:
Use your bike on a surface other then snow and ice.

I'd feel a bit disheartened if I didn't know that you're only jealous because your bike has no wheels!!

There's a practice session the day before the race, so I'll just have to make the most of that.

The summer's plenty long enough for riding on terrain other than snow or ice.

Well the answer to the question that didn't need answering...

You are allowed take your bike on the lower piste in Winterhorn.
It's not exactly advertised, but I called them to check beforehand and they didn't bat an eyelid when we turned up on a lovely sunny Wednesday recently

It's great fun, but it's not easy getting the bikes up on the lift!
I'll be happier when I can get back on the proper bike trails
