I was wondering if anyone knew of any yoga classes that are held in English? I'm moving to Switzerland very soon and I'm hoping to continue my yoga practise!

would help if you let us know which city you will be moving to ? If its Bern, I can help you out, if its Zürich, I haven't a clue.

Not sure if the classes are in English, but one can always ask.

Well in Zurich there is AirYoga,

There is also the two Yoga studios below, I believe they have english speaking teachers as well.

Classes are usually taught in a mixture of english and german/swiss german.

I am badly looking for some ashtanga or bikram in Lausanne. Anyone has any information? Classes in Elglish are preferred but any other language would do too. There are a number of classes/studios that come up via search/google but I wonder which one is any good given that they are quite more expensive than north american ones.

I will be coming to Basel, Switzerland in August and I am also looking for a yoga centre or a fitness around the area to continue my practise. Any good recommendations would be very helpful.

hi Seany, you might be better off looking for ashtanga because as far as I know there are only two bikram studios in Switzerland: one in Zurich and one in Lucerne.

byoga.ch in central Basel is pretty good, classes mainly in English - they do a trial membership for a week for 35 CHF - definitely worth having a go!!

I have never done Yoga before but came across a place in Zurich called Yoga Joy http://www.yoga-joy.ch/home_en.htm which does classes in English. I am going along to try it out for the first time next week!
