On April 20, the Zurich Marathon will take place this year. I am sure that there will be EF members participating in this event (unfortunately, not me as this one comes too early, frankly every 2008 marathon will be too early for me ).

Now this is the idea: why not donate to the EF based on the performance of the EF members running the marathon!

Example: let's say 10 members will run and I promise to donate CHF 10,- per member finishing the marathon. If they all finish, I donate CHF 100,- to the EF.

There are of course numerous possibilities of sponsoring (CHF x per KM run, CHF x for a particular EF member and so on)

So if we can put together a list of runners on the one side and a list of "sponsors" and the terms of sponsoring on the other, this could add up quite nicely.

If you think this is a good idea, or have any ideas how this can be handled as efficiently as possible, just drop your comments and I will work something out.

Think it's a grand idea. Put me down as a runner and how about a bonus donation for every 5 mins I get under 4hrs - would be very inspiring.
