I miss playing volleyball!! I just like to do it for fun and I was playing at Uni but I'm not at Uni anymore. Is there anyone out there who would like to play as well? If we get enough people, we could get a weekly thing going. Especially now that the weather is getting nice. Sand volleyball anyone Well, either way, I just want to play.

Be aware though - i found playing here quite hard - in New Zealand, you play to get the point. Here you play by the rules... (she ALWAYS sets, she ALWAYS digs etc..) I didnt find it as much fun..

Why not check out the Beachcenter (German only, sorry) near Weissenbühl. There are also Beach volleyball courts (are they called courts??? ) at the Marzili Freibad

I remember playing volleyball at school, but probably aren't much good anymore! Anyways, I'm always up for any sort of sports so count me in if this volleyball is going ahead.

sorry to all who have posted about bern volleyball. i've been in the states for the last couple of months and haven't checked in with the EF. volleyball will still be on when i get back in july though....stay tuned

Yeah ditto, I'm carrying a bit of an arm injury at the moment but hopefully I will be healed up in a week or two and ready for any potential Bern volleyball that may be happening.

That's a cool Idea, but I keep myself away from drinks party... because in just a beer or two, I get drunk then either I become a sweet angel and sleep in some corner (which happens more often) or I turn into a blabbermouth... and I start doing all the talking, what the ladies will do

Then you really have to join us! No one has to drink, I usually don't, as Miss Behaving can testify. And if you do decide to curl up in a corner, well, we'll cart you home somehow...

When I first came to berne, I played a lot, through Volleyball Club Berne. A great way to make friends and learn Swiss German.

Open places - games are set up at Marzili (under the Monbijou bridge) - just go along, make friends, ask to join in. I play once a week at Eichholz at lunchtime in the summer. Bikinis welcome. Afterwards we often go clean off the sand by swimming in the Aare back down to the zoo bridge or Marzili.

Or visit the national Beach Volleyball Center in Beaumont, near the Weissenbuhl train and tram 3 stop. I'm sure you could live a live of nothing but volleyball, sand and sun right there: I'm planning on some daiquiris and suntan now.

Ask on swisscc or meetup or CS to find some players.
