Re: climbing on Sunday, May 18

Missed your post last week, live in Belp just outside Bern. Have been climbing for too long to mention, have my own "stuff" and never got much above 5c lead which has gone down a little since kids arrived.

Would be happy to go, if I could only get this time machine working again .. 8-)

Suggestions on another day ? Niederwagen indoor or outdoor local ?

Re: climbing on Sunday, May 18

Hi, sorry about that time machine... :P

I'd be happy to climb with you, I am free after the weekend of the 25th to go outdoors (outdoors is better than indoors, isn't it? Especially in summer?).

As for Niederwangen, unfortunately I work in Montreux so it is difficult for me to make it back to Bern at a reasonable time during the week.

But if you (or anyone) is up for weekends outdoors at the crags, let's get something organized!

Re: climbing on Sunday, May 18

Blue,

We should try and coordinate again for an outdoor climb. Maybe this weekend up in Gastlosen or someone else inbetween Lausanne and Bern? It just depends on my knee as I banged it up this past weekend climbing in Yvorne. I will know better towards the end of the week.

Also, I have all the necessary equipment and can lead climb a 5a up to a 5c.

Cheers,
Steve

Hey, sounds great. Weather prediction's looking good for this weekend. If you know within the next day or two I will go ahead and post something more formal/concrete in the Events section in case more climbers want to tag along. Keep me posted,-E.

Re: climbing on Sunday, May 18

Hey,
I just last week moved to Basel with my wife, 10 minutes ago signed in, and there is already interesting climbing events going on (or at least in forum level). We are Finnish (quite ) young couple and both can lead up to some 6a, have gears etc.

Is here any climber without a company in Basel region?

The Gastlosen sounds great, but unfortunately for us this weekend is already booked, since we are going to Fontainebleau. If anyone wants to join me (wife flights from Glascow), just contact and you are welcome. We have a really unreliable van, so it is at your own risk, but there is enough space for 3 participants.

Cheers, Matti
