Anyone up for pass cycling this weekend?

After coming back from France in slightly better shape, I would like to keep this fitness and that means getting back out in the mountains. So if anyone is up for a long ride, 5 hours or so let me know here or by Pm. I am very open on the day (probably prefer Sunday) and the route (I have some ideas)... depending on the route, it may involve a train trip also.

I wouldn't mind doing a pass or two in Andermatt area (but it could be crazy with traffic on Sunday??)... but also would be up for doing Malbun again, as I really like that climb...

I didn't post as calendar, because haven't picked a day yet. Apologies for the randomness-

Re: Anyone up for pass cycling this weekend?

Sorry Dakman, gotta work nights on Sat / Sun. Not sure that the weather is going to be all that pleasant either.

I did Susten/Grimsel/Furka yesterday, and the amount of traffic (weekday) was at least double the week before. I fear that Sat / Sun the passes will be one big parking lot.

A pity, probably need to take a day out of work midweek to Andermatt area then....

What is the weather? I thought just some evening thunderstorms?

Re: Anyone up for pass cycling this weekend?

I would tend to agree with traffic comments above, we did the susten/ grimsel/ furka yesteday (friday) and started riding at 6:45 am..susten had no traffic, but grimsel and furka had lots of traffic..I recommend going midweek for a more pleasurable experience.

If you are looking for local pass rides, I recommend ibergerregg

Re: Anyone up for pass cycling this weekend?

I have tentative plans to do a mountain climb in the Ziegelbrucke area tomorrow if anyone is interested. Not going to start too early so will limit myself to one pass. I want to try something new so was thinking of either Flumserberg or VordeHohi (both look very very steep though so maybe i will change my mind ).

This is more of a feeler post as not 100% sure I am going but just seeing if anyone is interested. I need to feel better than today and get a half day leave pass from the better half

Re: Anyone up for pass cycling this weekend?

was wondering about doing a post myself, have a window to myself, 11.00-5pm. Was thinking about mtn biking or biking local to here incl. Gibswil hill (if you google earth Gibswil which hill i mean is likely to be obvious) or Toggenberg direction, but don't mind where just have to be back close to 5pm.

Let me have a look and get back to you. For some reason I am drawn to the Ziegelbrucke area but with the train, your window might be a liitle short.
