Ski school recommendations

Does anyone have recommendations for Eastern CH? Flumsberg for example only offers adult classes from Mon-Fri... Looking for Sat-Sun schools for beginners. Hopefully someplace reputable.

Thanks in advance,

GBer

We bring the Kids to Toggenburg - Wildhüuse (sp? - birthplace of Zwingli) to be precise - it has good ski teachers good slopes, is close to ZH is cheap - no beautiful people - just people interested in skiing.

Try to narrow your search in goolge adding "site:.ch" at the end, something like this "ski school site:.ch" or search here.

Googling "Toggenburg" gives me this as the first choice:

http://toggenburg.org/de/welcome.cfm

Googlemaps says it takes 1:40 from A.a.Albis to Wildhaus.

I used this school/club last year for my first ever ski experience! Found them very good.

Does anyone know when the lessons are for 2009? The website hasn't been updated yet and I want to plan early for the usual influx of visitors. Last year they were on 4 consecutive weekends at the beginning of the year starting from the 12th Jan......logic says that they will start on Jan 10th but if anyone could confirm this I would be grateful.

Chris

P.s. Before anyone smartarse's my post I tried the website and emailed the club to no avail.

As it is a club and volunteers, I think they tend to disappear until closer to the season. Usually, they have the sign up in late November, so I would think they would probably announce dates etc. in the next couple of weeks.

Be patient, these are mostly Auslander like us, so planning months ahead is not their thing.

Generally, they need to fit in the 4 weeks of classes before school holidays in CH, because that is when they get all the Flums intsructors at good rates. So if you can work out when the school holidays start, you can probably work into what date they will start.

Thanks for the tip, getting my lessons before the kids holidays would be prefered, the thought of adult snickering at me coming down a hill like a pair of loosed braces is bearable.... but kids
