I know basic level of swimming and i want to learn more.
I have finished basic level swimming course in Zurich hallenbad oerlikon and now
Iam searching for (english speaking) swimming trainer.
In Hallenbad there is advanced next level swimming course is available
but i dont want to join.
Any private trainer is there in the forum ? or if anyone knows a good trainer
please let me know.
It is difficult to offer real help (as opposed to simply giving the addresses of the swimming pools - select Zürich and click on the name of the pool to find phone numbers you can ring to ask if lessons are available). If the goal is to learn to swim in a very short time, then private lessons are fine, although expensive. However, it goes against the grain for me to recommend private lessons at the ‘next’ level. It is your money you will be spending, but I would think group lessons are much the better option. Nearly everyone makes the same mistakes and can be ‘corrected’ together. Much less depressing! Is there a special reason why do you not want to continue with the next level course in Oerlikon? I suggest you ring round the pools and ask if there are groups at your level there or, if you really prefer the idea, if there is a swimming teacher who gives private lessons. Good luck.

I know this...http://www.godfrey.ch/ link but bit expensive for me, may be for you its ok...
My swimmer friend charges about the same for private lessons, to be honest. I can ask him whether he knows anyone that teaches in Oerlikon though and will get back to you about it.
Just for info, I've sent this thread address to an english speaking swimming teacher I know, so he may be in touch (and will hopefully make himself known here) :-)
I swim regularly and feel I am starting to collect some bad habits. Does anyone know of some swim classes for adults where the teacher can speak english? My local pool is Hallenbad Meilen, but the staff are not massively supportive of the non-native language speakers.
Anyone know if there is anything in Kusnacht or the city?
I was a part time swimming teacher while i was back home. Am posted to Switzerland for some new projects.
I got my BTC (Basic Teacher's Certificate) and am working on my STC (Swimming Teacher Certificate) at the moment.
These certificates are endorsed by the Swimming Teacher's Association(U.K.).
I can give u free swimming lessons since I have been stopped teaching for the last 3.5 months and i can feel that am loosing my teaching skills!!! I guess we just have to figure out how to conduct the class in public pool so that the swimming pool management will not throw me out!!
