Squash/badminton around Baden ?

Hello !
Does anyone know if there are some clubs/venues to play squash/badminton around Baden? I'll be moving to Baden area mid Nov and keen to keep fit and meet new players for some games + laugh. What's the process to play, need enrolling to the venue?
Cheers - B

Re: Squash/badminton around Baden ?

for sports centers, you'll need to find and bring your own partner, and it costs something like 15-25chf for 45 mins. what you might like to do is join a club; you'll pay an annual fee up front, and pay a reduced rate each time you play, and if there's a squash evening, you just pay a flat fee for the whole evening, and you play with one another.

i go to the squash club at niederrohrdorf (http://www.tcrohrdorferberg.ch/), which is 15-20 mins from baden by bus. annual fee of 300chf, and squash evenings on wed is free. let me know if u need more info.

Re: Squash/badminton around Baden ?

I find Baregg a bit expensive for the quality of e.g. tennis courts. I am not sure about squash or badminton courts there. I would recommend sport's centre in Schlieren at www.vitis.ch which for sure has got good infrastructure and reputation and it hosts lots of good players that I heard of.

Looking for squash players in Baden

Hi,

I've just arrived in CH and I'd be keen to excercise a bit with some friendly games of squash in Baden, likely at Sport World Baregg.
Of intermediate level I'm keen to play on a regular basis to maintain and develop level if that is of interests...
If anyone fancy to have a go at a game, let me know.
Many thanks !

Re: Looking for squash players in Baden

Have you tried to leave your details at the reception in Bareeg Sports World or in Schlieren www.vitis.ch. They might be able to help you find a partner playing on similar level.

Hi there,

If you are still interested in playing badminton... my husband belongs to the BC Baregg (www.bcbaregg.ch) and they meet regularly on Mon and Wed nights (Wed's actually in Sportworld Baregg). My understanding is that you can play either on leisure basis or you can also join one of the teams that holds inter-club tournaments.

Send me a PM if you want to find out more about the club. Have fun!
