| Hi,
I am looking for a good boot fitter near Lausanne. I have very non-standard foot and need help with the choice of ski boots & with fitting them professionally. I would go to a resort area if needed, but am really looking for someone close to home (Lausanne) 'cause I expect that several visits will be necessary.
Thanks!

I would suggest that you pick a resort close to Lausanne that you could go to over let's say a
three weekend period. Once we know which resort you have chosen, someone could recommend a good ski shop that can fit the boots for you.
Why do I say a ski resort rather than Lausanne? You need to ski to see where the problems are and what adjustments are needed after the boot is initially fitted. You ski the morning and early afternoon then go in for a adjustment in the late afternoon. The boot fitter can see a lot from the condition of your feet after a few hours of skiing. You can also be a lot more exact with your comments when you have the boots on (rather than a few days later - in Lausanne).
You should in any event have "foot beds/insoles" made. These will position your feet correctly. They are really worth the money. If your feet are really that special, you might want to go for the injection system. This is of course more expensive.
With any new boots you will need to ski a bit to work the foam booties to your feet. There is no real way to get around this (even though they will heat them up in the store and you will wear the boots for a while).
Good luck.
