Bike fitting near Zurich

I am buying a new bike for road cycling very soon.

In connection with that I would like to have a bike fitting.

Does know of a place that does it near Zurich? I've tried Google without much luck.

Re: Bike fitting near Zurich

Most good bike shops will do it these days. I would say go to a few of the local shops and ask if they do it. In my experience many of the ones I know do it, but you usually have to ask for it and they may charge you a small fee.

Re: Bike fitting near Zurich

Maybe Veloplus in Wetzikon or Radnroll in Samstagern or Towersports in Rapperswil(they fitted me for an MTB) or veloteria in Stafa.

Or just about any bike shop should do it really.

Re: Bike fitting near Zurich

Thank you for you reply. I was not clear enough in my first post:

What I am looking for is something like this: http://www.retul.com/the-science.asp
Where you body on the bike is being measured. In Denmark I would normally be charged around 250 CHF for something like this.

Re: Bike fitting near Zurich

There is a bike shop in Samstagern that do you a computerized bike fitting

They put you on a scanner and then the computer calculates the best fit based on your choice of bike.

It costs 69 CHF or it is free when you buy your bike from them

They speak english

Many shops do have something similar, but as I said they do not do it as a matter of course. If I remember correctly tower sports mentioned previously have it (I think). I doubt if Veloplus do it, as they do not sell bikes, only parts.

I can also recommend Mountain Thrill in Horgan, I don't think he has the measurement machine, but he is really good about advising on frame size and will always make the necessary adjustments of stem size and angle etc to get the bike well set up for you. He deals mainly in Mountain bikes but does the specialized range of road bikes too, and will do custom builds to suit yourself.

Your best bet is acutally go out and try the shops. There are so many of them and quite a few do have specialist bike fitting equipment these days.

Re: Bike fitting near Zurich

In case you want one more to check out, our nearby bike shop Lerch Cycle in Gattikon (near Thalwil) also has the "Body Scanning" method. And the owners and workers there speak English and are really nice.

Congrats on getting a new road bike - That is always exciting! Hope we can check it out sometime if we all meet up for a ride (when it gets warmer!).
