Any tips on tennis courses in the Basler area for a former intermediate level player (2 yrs innactive!)?

No replies yet? That is a bummer, I am looking to get back into Tennis as well and I'd like to find an outdoor court or somewhere I could play.

Tennis lessons would be good too, I can always use some work on my form.

I used to be an average player (not played much in the last 2 years) and am also looking to get back into tennis. Need some work on my timing and definately need to improve my serve and so am looking for some practice hitting/games. If you're interested in playing let me know. The only courts I know in Basel belong to clubs, but I can do some research and find out about any municipal courts.

I can identify with your timing and service problems. I have never played organized tennis, but I have played recreationally for the last few summers and taken a few lessons here and there.

I'm definitely interested in finding some municipal courts, if you know where to look to find that info, that is cool.

I would also join a club if it is not too expensive. I am located close to St. Margarthen Park, they have several clay courts there, but I have not yet enquired about costs/membership.

I am away in the UK next week and will be bringing my raquet back with me so I'm good for a game anytime in the evenings from the 17th onwards. I will be looking to join a club when I return (any reccommendations gratefully recieved). The courts you mentioned in Gundeli look good (don't understand why they belong to the lawn tennis club when the only courts I saw were clay) but i have been unable to find a website for them
