If you look at the bottom of the page under your post, you'll see two Badminton Threads which might give you a few names or places.
It's usually worthwhile doing a search before starting a new Thread, and, if you find a relevant one, adding your post to that. Apart from helping you to find names of folk who are perhaps already involved in a group, it also avoids annoying the Mods who find three or four Threads with similar content!
For the Basketball - you could start by Googling 'Basel Basketball'. There also used to be a good team in Birsfelden.
