I will be visiting Bern May 23-31, and am looking to play tennis. I will be staying on Jubilaumstrasse, and I have noticed that there are some tennis courts right behind my mother-in law's home next to the Ka-We-De swimming pools. Are these open to the public?

I would love to be able to play tennis while I am in Bern (I'm English but live in the US - I have a USTA tennis rating of 4.0).

Tennis was and is a part of my life, since 2007 I´m here in Berne, but it is very difficult to find an equivalent partner, it should not be only beginners, so if you will have and find time, you can call me by my handy no. 076 4650083.

Hi Fran, guests of members are welcome at the Dählhölzli club and Rot Weiss courts above them, you would have to go and wait and speak to anyone you see. They are friendly, many speak English, but the Swiss system is based on haveing games with friends arranged in advance. You could set up games for the weekdays. Bring cards with your phone number.

Since 6 month I´ve found no opportunities to play with a Swiss person, for me it is a small personal desaster.
