Climbing in Neuchatel

Hi All,

I'm a student from Ireland working in LeLocle (Neuchatel) who enjoys climbing.

I'm just wondering if there are any english or german speakers in these french parts, who could sho me about?

I did some hiking and found a nice sports crag about 4 km NE of les brenets, so if anyone is planning a trip up here, I'd be more than willing to tag along for a belay!

Also I'm interested in joining the CAS/SAC if anyone knows all the details?

Cheers,
Duncan

Re: Climbing in Neuchatel

Hi
I've just moved to Zurich from Belfast and am also looking for a climbing partner. I'm a bit rusty but am keen to do any trad/sport/alpine. Zurich is quite far from Neuchatel but I don't mind traveling a bit.

Richard

Re: Climbing in Neuchatel

we could always meet halfway!

I've only found sports climbing in my area, which works out cheaper if you didn't bring a trad rack with you. (though it's not as manly! )

I've never tried alpining, wouldn't mind trying it after a bit of training.

Re: Climbing in Neuchatel

I'm always up for some rock climbing but I'd rather not go that side of the lake ideally. I'm nearer Fribourg and somewhere like Gastlosen is good if it's in condition yet, midweek is also better for me if I'm not otherwise engaged.

Re: Climbing in Neuchatel

Hi Guys

I am around week days to climb, I am about an hour from Gastlosen(assuming I have found the right place just near Lausanne).

PM me if anyone fancies hooking up.

Steve
