For the last minute fighters, the meeting point is Wenkenhof bus 32 stop in Riehen at 4 p.m.
Comfortable sport clothes, running shoes and a small towel are highly recommended...

Dear all,
I've started training (alone) yesterday evening, kicking and punching trees like Ong Back (or better, like a silly Italian Expat Doctor/Thai Boxer alone in the woods).
Waiting for your confirmations for next saturday's training (and maybe BBQ if we are a decent number) I would like to give you an heads-up since I will be training every evening around 6.30 pm. Feel free to join me.

Gee, this is so frustrating to hear. I have all the equipment (Wing Chun post standing and free targets and a small gym room) but no-one in my area to teach or train with me. Guess I'll just go back to boxing. You are all going to have so much fun when you all finally meet up.

I had some training in Commando Krav Maga with some Israeli colleagues during the Medical School.

10 Oz gloves (and for a further step free fingers MMA gloves)
shin protections
groin protections
gum protections

Bring what you have, I will not start hurting you so early

Jockes apart you can find at least training gloves and gum protection at virtually any sportswear shop.
At Ochsner for example you can find this gloves[IMG]IMG] and the gum protection in the Ice Hockey section.

hey guys yup was fun yesterday. Any one wanting to learn Muai Thai/ basic self defence and get some fitness in this is a good option.

Yes it's also on saturday 6.30 pm.
If other people join we can consider bringing beers and wurst for a post training BBQ.
Otherwise go home and have a shower

Suppose they don't want to shower, do you accept soap dodgers?

I highly recommend a gum protector and a groin cup- you will get kicked there at some time.
