Was going to post this in the language forum but thought that it would reach more bikers in the sport/fitness area.

I found a very useful spreadsheet on the Park Tools site. Over the years, I picked up most of the bike specific German vocab that I needed but there are still quite a few specialised terms missing. The spreadsheet will be really useful for me to expand my German vocab and also to have on a PDA or smartphone if touring in one of the countries who's language is also covered (Spanish, French, Italian, Swedish, Portuguese, Dutch, Serbian)

Many spanish translation are simply not right and some french ones with bad orthography.

I'm surprised if there are mistakes - if you look at the list of credits, you can see that there are some eminent contributors.

That's great, thanks a lot. I had been using this list for German-English, but hadn't found an equivalent for French, so this is way better, plus it is far more exhaustive. Due to browsing a lot of Swiss and German online bike parts stores, close to half of the German vocabulary that I know is bike-related. There can't be many people in the world who know what a "Steuersatz" is but cannot say "My name is Chris" in German.
