Can anyone recommend a good bicycle mechanic

Can anyone recommend a good English speaking bike mechanic around the Zürich area.

Preferably one who is experienced or comfortable working with Downhill bikes. I need someone for general service and maybe suspension setup advice.

Thanks.

Jump on the ferry and go to Lars at Mountain Thrill in Horgan. He pretty much specialises in Downhill and Freeride bikes.

Thanks Eire, I'll definitely check the shop out. I work in Pfäffikon so it would be perfect.

The problem is they sell Santa Cruz bikes so a trip for a service could end upsetting the girlfriend Shiny new V10 would look very nice in my cellar.

I know... they sell intense too... Every time I go in I get very tempted to drop a deposit on a shiny new Intense Uzzi. My girlfriend is none too impressed.

Re: Can anyone recommend a good bicycle mechanic

I'm looking for someone (either in a bike shop, or an experienced freelancer) in the Zurich area for 2 tasks on my road bike.

1. Remove current fork, do the fiddling about with headsets and star-fangled nuts and fit a new one (planning to mail order the fork from Germany)
2. Install a longer front brake cable (the current one is ludicrously short preventing me from fiddling with stems...)

If its a shop, they should be happy to fit parts they haven't sold. Or if you know a shop that will sell and fit me a midrange carbon/(metal steerer) fork for a reasonable price. (I'm thinking of http://www.bike24.com/1.php?content=...mid=0;pgc=7:43)
