Yo folks - looking for any possible takers to do some long road rides this tri season here in Zürich. I'm training for IM Austria in July so I'm looking at rides on Sat and/or Sunday between 100km and 140km. Yes I've already looked at the tri-clubs here in Zürich but they won't respond to my schlecht Deutsch or maybe they know that I'm still a member of the great Tria Basilea club out of Basel. Regardless if you're interested in spending some time in the saddle (and lots of it!) hit me back.

A little more info would be helpful regarding how fast you normally ride and what sort of terrain you usually ride on (flat, rolling, or mountainous).

I'll give the very commital answer of - it depends. Some days I ride on the flats and thereby can go faster (~22 to 25 kph) and others I'll do hills which naturally slows me up considerably. All depends on the amount of beer consumption the night before, mood, weather...the normal stuff...hope that helps.

I'm extremely keen to join anyone riding but I live in Basel. I've been doing some long rides on my own and would love a cycling partner and seem to ride at a similar pace to yourself.

Can you tell me more about the club in Basel that you joined as I would like to join a club to train with.
