Off road riding in Switzerland? You must be kidding! You'd better go to France for this.
The 999 is a street bike, what we call a crotch rocket. Off roading it ....? As I live across the potato trench you're too far away for ride-outs.
Have fun!

Re: Tips for Moto bikes and off road riding

You can ask this question at motards.ch. But, I guess riding offroad in CH is a total nonsence idea You'll get punished and put into prison for many years for that A joke, but with elements of truth. Why not just ride somewhere in Saint-Cergue? It is near GE.

Re: Tips for Moto bikes and off road riding

I know a few places between CH and FR in the region of Le Pont where you seems to be able to ride. But it is cold now, I was riding yesterday at Col du Mollendruz, the road was icy + snow on the roadside

There is a chance of warming in upcoming weeks.

Taking into account that it is already the end of the season, I think it is a good idea to ride anywhere on moto untill there is no snow. I will be riding this weekend, if it will be warm. You can join.
