| | | Ski Boot Sizes for Children (and Adults)
Although my kids have been skiing since they were two and a half, I face the same question every year and spend loads of time searching for ski boot sizes.
So, can anyone on EF point me to a site or a converstion table where I can convert regular shoe size to ski boot size - especially for children?
What is the smallest size going (my daughter has shoe size 23, can you get them this small?)
Yes, I have googled and searched EF, to no avail.

You should be able to find converstion for the whole family here: http://www.usatourist.com/english/ti...ens-Sizes.html
Hope this helps!

Thanks for taking the time to help, but I'm looking for the conversion from regular shoe size (European) to "official" ski boot size (in centimeters) and not conversion of US to European sizes |

To answer my own question: should've googled in English and not German
Here's a link to a chart, for anyone else searching.
Oh, and if anyone knows where I can get a pair of boots in Mondopoint size 14 (hopefully close to a European 23/24), please let me know.

Hi,
Nordica's smallest boots for children are size 140 (Mondo point size), that's the smallest I could find when I looked for boots for my daughter some years ago (she was then almost three years old).
According to this page (look at the bottom): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoe_size#Formal_standards
140 corresponds to approximately 23 so it should be possible to find good boots for your daughter!
Have a nice time skiing!

Will be looking out for Nordicas then....

I wouldn't bother getting the 14.0's. Go for the 15.0-15.5's. For little kids, it's not so important to have them fit perfectly and you'll get a few more months of use out of the larger ones.

Reason: Edit: Ochsner Sport usually has a good selection of small boots

I know, but she's just barely grown out of her 22 shoes, so a 25 is going to be massive. We already have ski boots 26, 27 and upwards from the boys, so I don't need them to last - in fact, it'll probably only be over Christmas and during the Feb holiday that we'll be going. Her feet are so slim, I just think too big boots are not going to work.

Dear Crumbs
Thanks for the link to the shoe size chart - very useful! Did you find size 14 for your daughter and if so, where! I'm looking for my son!
Thanks

Hi J,
Yes, but we went for a 15 in the end. It's the Nordica brand, bright red. The only brand to make them this small.
In Athleticum, Dietlikon, they cost CHF 69.90.

J | | | | | You need skis up to your kid's forehead. The longer the better - makes it easier to stop. Look in the brockenhaus first. I got a set with poles and salomon bindings for cfh 4.

Wow - 4chf is very interesting! Brockenhaus I'm assuming is second hand! Where do I find that/one near to me?
