I am trying to get ready cheaply for the ski season. i guess the stores on the french side may be cheaper. can anyone recommend a large store for ski equipment on the french side of geneva "rive droite" (ie between geneva and coppet) thanks

For cheap, definitely better in Annemasse or Sallanches - both have a couple of big shops, Intersport, Quencha and Vieux Camper and potentially Carrefour will have gloves and thermals.

There is a small shop on the lake rd nr Versoix but can't see it being cheap, otherwise take a look in the athleticum in the Meyrin out of town shopping centre.

Décathlon is also in Annemasse, apparently well known for having good deals. Will head there tomorrow, most likely.

Can anyone vouch for affordability/quality of any other shops in the area, such as those mentioned above? Particularly for snowboarding but also looking for hats/goggles/gloves, so a strict ski shop would also work.
