| | | Re: Snow sports 2009-10 | Quote: | | | | | Luminousmind had an epic fall today, as witnessed by Jacek. This certainly threw a monkey wrench into Jacek and ToiletDuck's day. Tried to soldier on for a few more runs but in the end, the pain was too much to take. However, staying loyal to the EF snow hounds, I still skied down to the bottom of the mountain.
Good news is doctors say no damage to internal organs, and when the codeine kicks in, with apologies to Bob Marley, luminousmind will feel no pain.
Bad news is doctor says out of action for minimum 6 weeks. | | | | | couldn't you wait till next weekend? ;-)
get well soon!

Here are some pics to commemorate another snowhounds feat in Jakobshorn. | | | | | Amazing how Jacek is always around with a camera to catch any mishaps .
Glad to hear your ok T-bird, and keep me posted for Wed night at Flums.

That time all was too predictable to happen and camera was ready in hand. Unfortunately, y-day I was just a split of a second too late... sorry didn't manage to videotape it
Do you suggest PG that I bring mishaps to skiers .
In that case, my presence in Flumserberg night event might be ominous ...

Do you suggest PG that I bring mishaps to skiers . Mishap nooooo, purely co-incidence
In that case, my presence in Flumserberg night event might be ominous ... Undoubtably but sign up anyway | | | | | Night ski run at Flumserberg

That J can fly! | | | | | It was rather me who tried to keep up with you and just in time managed to slow down, otherwise I might have been destinied to doom myself... That was a nasty mogul while crossing from on-piste onto off-piste
On the other hand (or on the other far end of the slope)... ToiletDuck was flying with whishing sound on his snowboard. I was quite impressed to see what one can do on a single wide plank.
Looking forward to Wednesday nite snow ploughing and après skis if there is any time left before last train.

I may try to give it a go. Turns out it's only 2 cracked ribs and the pain killers are working pretty well. Not sure if it will be hardcore ski day but will decide later this week. No problem avoiding Davos |

Hey, I might come with you guys! All depending on how alive I will be after my cross country ski tour on Saturday Never been to Pizol and it looks like a nice, small resort not too far away from ZH. Perfect for a half day of skiing at least.

Greetings from Rothorn 2350m in Sörenberg. Sitting 50m above the clouds facing sun, in a restaurant on terrace and sipping Erdinger beer while waiting for lunch Unfortunately, on Sunday Valentine's Day and other corny responsibilities call, so no skiing for me Amazingly there are maybe 10 people altogether in cable car and restaurant. The black runs are going to be free .
Update: What a day? I guess they do not call it Sören-berg for nothing, as all my muscles are soar from skiing down Rothron. Absolute torture but I think I asked for it doing cable-car thingy to the top three times in a row!

Hi all.
Due to a clerical error in Canada some years ago that never got corrected over here, I get a vacation day on Monday to celebrate Fasnacht.
As such, I was thinking about getting away for a weekend trip Sat to Mon. Here is where I was thinking at the moment:
Val D'Anniviers
Champex-Lac
Zermatt
Any guidance is appreciated!
regards,
tdb
