Has anyone been skiing this week? Hoping to get a ski day in this weekend with some friends but don't want to ski in slush or mud! Any suggestions? There is a beginner in the group too...

Go to Verbier. You can start skiing as of 2'200 meters. Some easy slopes over in La Chaux and Lac des Vaux. Better skiers should get the ticket with Mt. Fort. as well so you can ski even higher.

Try in any event to get an early start so the conditions will be better.

glacier3000 works too. they are having a "freeride days" event this weekend for offpiste skiers with a ski test, music, party, and demonstrations of wingsuit and speedflying. even if you aren't participating, it should be fun.

Leave early (6am-7am) and go to Zermatt. Perfect place for this warm weather, even for 1 day. Not cheap, but well-worth the travel time and costs. If you are alone - go by train.
