[Zurich] Football games on Saturdays

Every week in the summer months a group of enthusiastic footballers meet up at the football pitch, in front of the new FIFA HQ near the Zurich zoo, for a friendly match on real grass. We are now in search of new players to replenish the pace and skill which has been lost over the years. If you are our man (or woman) please feel to sign-up to play. For the next few weeks we will be playing on the FIFA astro pitch (which is more like real grass than real grass) while our usual pitch is restored to its former glory. We play from 17:00 to 19:00 every Saturday at Sportanlage Forrenweid, Dreiwiesenstrasse, 8044 Zürich (16:00 to 18:00 from now until 17 July 2007 while on the astro pitch)

Please contact Daryl Thomas at daryl.thomas [at] syngenta.com if you would like to join

Re: [Zurich] Football games on Saturdays

There's a map on the FIFA site which give directions pretty much to the pitch: http://www.fifa.com/en/contact.html

Please DO email Daryl to let him know if you're coming. He's a good lad.

I assume after 17th July until sometime in August there is the usual mid-season break - I'll check this.

And it's FREE to play as Syngenta has picked up the cost of the pitch for this season.

Hi Angie,

Consider putting this as an event under commercial event (since it's a club that organises this). Then the date will come up in the calendar and people could also set reminders to is.

Cheers,
Nanda.

Sounds to me like this Daryl lad should be able to provide a team to take on the might that is the unbeaten EF footy team?

Re: [Zurich] Football games on Saturdays

some of those players play for both teams. There's only so many super-skillful footy players in Zurich

Nanda - it's not essentially a club, it's a social event. But it could be shifted across as a thread to there.
