I found this leaflet in my postbox today (pic attached).

What comes to mind is that in the year since i've been here, i haven't seen any niqaabed women (i.e. wearing a face veil) except those who were quite clearly tourists.

I haven't seen any parades of Marian effigies in Switzerland, either.

What does this leaflet mean?

Other parties were successfull with the anti-moslem strategy in the past. Looks like the SD jumped on the bandwagon?

On a sidenote: National - Umweltbewusst - Sozial. They have been picking keywords from the whole political spectrum it seems!

Last week I received a smug looking picture post card from a prominent local politician, inviting me to vote for him on 6th March.

Now my letter box has a sign stating in German "No advertising material"

This received unrequested rubbish enraged me enough to remove both his eyes in the picture and post it back to him, without a stamp.

Silly I know, but little victories sometimes give me a satisfying pleasure.

SD (Swiss Democrats) is a right-wing populist party. They have very little support in Switzerland.

Liste 10 is their position on the ballot. I think they had 1 seat in parlament at one time, but lost it in 2007. They typically fold into the SVP on closely contested issues.

Earlier this year we received the most offensive 'information' booklet from the UDC (SVP) - I took it back to the post office saying that our letter-box clearly states 'pas de publicité' - but they said that political material from official parties was exempt! The UDC booklet actually states that in the small print next to publisher. I sent it back with my comments to their Head Office.

Well, generally speaking, if I see the word 'green' or 'PS', I vote no.

It's the same in the U.K. (and probably everywhere else as well).

So there they tell you who they really are. They are environmentally concerned National Socialists. I suppose Umwelt also refers to the cultural environment.

It's a puzzle to me why, with the extent they go to, don't they just use swastikas. Or ban such parties altogether. It would make it clearer for everybody.

Jawohl. I'm already in, and they can't do anything about me now, short of altering their constitution. Phos, the virus has been infecting Switzerland for quite a long time now, and has metastasized.

It is the propaganda of the SD (Schweizer Demokraten), the Neo-Fasist party situated far to the right of the SVP !

The SD wants to say that radical Muslim fundamentalists and their veiled wifes want to take over Switzerland

And all I get are some leaflet from "Ikea" Sniff

Yeah, and Nestle formula samples...

Well, that's not hard to do, as the UDC is hardly as far right as everyone makes them out be.
