I can't find the picture online (yet), but here is an article (in French) about the CVP's response to the SVP's randy bull posters.

The poster depicts Lara the Cow sitting on, and squashing, the SVP's bull on a mountain side, with the clear approval of a black sheep, the caption saying: "With weighty arguments".

Apparently the SVP's Oscar Freysinger's response is: "The reason the cow is so heavy is that she is carrying the little calf of our bull inside her."

Now there's a disturbing image.

I can't wait to see what pictorial response the SVP will come up with this time.

I'm sure that with the cow and the sheep both being black that somebody will shortly start another thread about racism. Especially once it is revealed that the supposedly black sheep is actually a white sheep covered in shoe polish.

Freysinger is a teacher - Dog knows what he passes on to the kids. And of course Perrin is a Police Inspector, who has recently stated that torture is justified (although is is banned by Swiss Law, of course).

Of course the SVP fellow has responded by pointing out that the black sheep is the only one laughing, and 'clearly this means that only criminals favor CVP policy'...

I think it's a little unfair to judge someone's professional conduct based upon his political opinions. I see no reason why a member of the SVP should be any less competent or conscientious a teacher than anyone else.

But that discussion probably deserves a thread of its own. This one is about cows!

Me neither. But the question is much more weather or not teachers should be politicians. After all is it a diagnosis and not a job.

I know what you mean, but I am also aware of the great influence teachers can have. I have ab old friend who teaches nearby, who is concerned- as he deals with drop outs who come to him with very firmly held stereotypes, etc. If I remember rightly he teaches history- one of the easiest of subjects to 'manipulate' to one's end.

From the cow boys or the Indians point of view? As a child I was taught that the cow boys (many Swiss btw, including my great uncle in New Mexico) were the goodies and the Indians the baddies. Many of us have changed sides now.
