john23 I am so sorry your uncle is still missing. I so often check if there are news, and think of him and you and your family.

Little shocking to know this...I think you can take help of local gemeinde and police if needed to trace him.The gemeinde generally has notice boards where missing posters could be displayed

Heartbreaking!

I went on holidays in Grindelwald 2 years ago and I experienced how misleading the mountains there can be. But that's from the mouth of a non-experienced hiker.

Very strange that no trace has been found yet!
