President of Solothurn SVP involved in tax fraud

Apparently Heinz Müller Presid. of SVP Solothurn accused of tax fraud and forgery of documents. Since he can not be banned from Switzerland like a foreigner, I hope at least that the "clean hands" party will ban him as well.

I wonder: what would be worse for a Solothurner... being banned to Baselstadt or being banned to French speaking Jura ?
Open for discussions, I can't make up my mind.

I reckon for a far-right Solothurner, exile in over the mountain in Moutier would be a suitable form of torture.

If we're about to hang every politician that is accused of lying and skullduggery (and the Blick being the source), there wouldn't be any trees left in the woods to make gallows.

True that. And some people we like to see being caught more than others

Re: President of Solothurn SVP involved in tax fraud

I do have friend who are excellent, totally trustworthy and very hard-working politicians - YES they exist, honest. Dedicating their lives to the service of others, often at local level. I know some in the UK and some in CH.

This guy is not one of them, I am very happy to say. In the UK you send people to Coventry - I love the idea of sending the Bernois to Moutier- a good translation, hurray.

Just wondering what kind of source the Blick hack had? Not a Murdoch enterprise at work this time; surely no bribes or telephone bugs were involved in this case...?

According to the article it's not clear whether Müller's attempt of saving tax is unjustified. That's why it might go all the way to a federal court. I'd be surprised if the party bans him for an infringement that's a bit in the grey area of tax laws.

That one better?

My guess is the source for the article was the arraignment that Solothurn's prosecutors handed in.

Husband of a colleague at work works in one of Heinz Muller's firms in Solothurn. He doesn't pay well, introduced a 44 hour working week in cluding Saturday mornings and when Solothurn has a caontonal holiday his emnployees have to go to the factory in Canton Bern to work.

I think we are allowed to use with SVP the shortcuts they use with some categories of population resident in switzerland. It's faire game i guess.
