Today's 20Min gave me a bit of heartburn. Two stories, one about a fox biting a 3 year old while she slept, including a bad photoshop of a yawning fox in the girl's room with her sitting on the bed, and another story about the Young SVP including a picture of members wearing some freakish hijab or fake beard (I can't tell what it is).
I don't know what the deal is with this Young SVP, but it scares me and even I am insulted y this photo. They may as well make another picture wearing blackface make-up.
The story of the fox is just sensationalist hype. They were feeding the fox and we're supposed to be horrified that it tried to drag a 3 year old out of bed when they leave their windows open? I just refuse to buy into foxes as evil predators that hunt children, which is how I feel the story is written.
Any body with a different take? Or maybe who can shed some light on this JSVP gimmick?

Sorry to dissapoint you, but 20Mins is entertainment, not news.
Ya. I'm learning that from the journalism thread. My hopes and dreams of responsible journalism have been utterly shattered this, the 11th day of August 2011.

The JSVP article I found pretty amusing. There was a part describing how politicians get abusive letters but the picture in question was related to people having some fun on the signature collection forms for initiatives. My favourite one was the person who wrote Alexander Popofick instead of Alexander Popovic who is apparently a JSVP politician. I actually thought about doing something like this to the one I received last week but thought in the end it's to much effort
My other highlight was the paper informing us that the guy they were interviewing suspects the abuse was coming from the left camp- we would've never guessed that!
Edit regarding the initiative: The JSVP have apparently sent out forms to collect signatures for a mask (burka) ban. Going by the photo some one apparently decided to put a burka on the JSVP politicians

One is loath to criticise something that comes for free, but watching a fly repeatedly bumping into the window as it tries to get out of the tram provides more entertainment than reading 20 Minuten.
Or you could be patient and wait until late afternoon to grab your issue of Blick am Abend handed to you by Omar in front of the escalators of Hauptbahnhof. Entertainment is plentiful in there and you'll even find some news on the "People" pages.
