UBS research shows: the French are the most productive people in the world
I don't trust UBS to find the toilet and unzip their pants by themselves anymore... this subject is a little more involved.

The French work harder, live in a nicer country and have better food.
That must hurt

Food is great , country is beautiful.... but the only problem is its full of French !

Thus, by cogent and persuasive arguments, the thread was closed.

I think it is more likely that the first hours worked are just more effective than the last hours worked, making the conclusion that french are more effective invalid.
i don't know what industry you work in, but in my line of work 90% of the work gets done in the last 10% of time, close to the deadline. The first few hours of the day are for EF debates

Which means Switzerland cannot be productive because so many important positions are held by English speaking people who waste too much time on EF during working hours. Just look at how many EFers churn out post after post in the middle of the morning and afternoon while pretending they crank up the GNP.

I've worked with a number of French people; overall they worked circles around the Swiss I worked with. With less griping. And you could go out for a beer after work with them without scheduling it.
"without scheduling" ? Isn't this the point ? French do not need to have everything scheduled. Which makes them creative. CH German speakers admire the French for this. The CH F-speakers might rather try to take a middle-line .....
