off topic... ( big surprise ) Mrs. and I went to the village of Tourettes in France a few years ago.. and I gotta tell ya... I was really disappointed.

Useless fact of the day: the hospital where Georges Gille de la Tourette worked, after whom the condition is named, is the same hospital where Diana was treated after the fatal accident.

Re: GENEVA.... anyone trying to get across town this aftn?

I rarely go into Geneva, and then I never drive- but today I went to see a client... by car. I don't think it had anything to do with this thingamabob you mention Grynch, but it took me a full hour to get from the WTO building to Eaux Vives . I think it would have been faster to turn around at the WTO and take the train from Nyon!

I rarely go into Geneva, !

Rue de lausanne and pont du mont blanc are always screwed these days... anytime I need to go across the river these days I grab a tram.

It is always best to use a pay parking within Place des Nations and take the bus (or walk) going to town.

parking rates are outrageous there ( if you don't have a monthly pass )

hmm.... I used to park behind WMO ( at WTO parking lot ) and Secheron P&R certainly was closed... but I've not parked there for months so if you say so pehaps they've found a way to open it again...personally I can't see how unless WTO gave up some of their parking spots, which knowing their shortage I can't believe.

anyway...I've been wrong before ( very very rarely )

I haven't ever parked there but it is lumped in my P+R yearly pass that's why it came to mind... upon further investigation it appears it indeed is closed and will reopen in December, but for WTO employees only.
