Lift of liquids restriction in airport handluggage?

According to this article (in german), Zurich airport together with 12 other European airports is testing two new devices from tomorrow on, that can differentiate between evil terrorist liquids and your average alcoholics handluggage.

Apparently, if the tests are successul, the European Union is looking at slowly lifting the ban on liquids on planes and you may soon be able to bring your own Absinthe on EasyJet!

Don't count on it though if you're planning to fly somewhere sometime soon as apparently the devices are only being tested at the moment and only used 4 days a week for a few hours. So while some people might be lucky and be permitted to take their shampoo with them, most passengers at this stage will not.
