| | | Swiss made train crashes in Norway 5 injured when it derailed whilst travelling at 100km/h. FLIRT trains can reach a maximum speed of 200 kilometres per hour. The train being tested was a FLIRT (Fast Light Innovative Regional Train) made by Swiss-based Stadler Rail AG.

Isn't it a bit like saying:
"German made car crashes in US"
...... until the actual cause is determined?

Totally not surprised, Cobra didn't work at the beginning. Panta Rhei, same deal.
They should just stick to chocolate, and possibly cheese.

Clearly an SVP link here that someone is going to milk. Rich right wing Thurgau railway rolling stock baron plans Scandinavian takeover perhaps? I'm sure "The Local" will amaze us with some show-stopping headline.

| | | Re: Swiss made train crashes in Norway There are several main causes of derailment: broken or misaligned rails, excessive speed, faults in the train and its wheels, and collisions with obstructions on the track.
Clearly the Swiss are out to destroy Scandanavia (and/or including Finland) |

I think the Swiss saboteurs hadn't meant it to derail, until tests were finished in Norway and it had moved next door to Sweden, where it would have picked up local journalists and media proprietors in Stockholm.

According to the TV news this evening, the train moved ahead at twice the speed allowed in the place. They are now trying to find out WHY the train-driver drove that fast

Although in Finland every piece of track is welded to next piece so the effect of nature should be minimum, but as said that is not always the case..

| | | Re: Swiss made train crashes in Norway | Quote: | | | | | I like the chopper ! where can you get theme .RCN need some real bad | | | | | FYI, the chopper is a British made Sea King helicopter. In Norway they are mainly used as a search and rescue helicopter. The Norwegian fleet is nearly 40 years old and is due to be replaced in 2020.
FYI2, the Norwegian rail tracks are poorly maintained due to decades of underfunding. This particular track was built in 1881 and hasn’t been properly maintained since then. Trains accidents and heavy delays are common in Norway.
