Rail service to Ticino and Italy halted by landslide

Rail services through the Gotthard tunnel, the main connection between Zurich and Milan, have been halted by a landslide and will not be restored until Monday.

alright, but you should get the title changed to "Rail service to the Ticino and Italy halted by landsslide" because it also is the rail-link to Bellinzona, Lugano and Locarno

and while long-distance traffic is re-routed over the Simplon, there are replacement-buses between Arth-Goldau and Göschenen

I have taken the train south on Friday, and I am coming back up today. The connections with buses are superbly organized, and the disruption has been minimal (only a half hour- 45 mins delay on the regular schedule). Additionally, the information was clear and very helpful, both from the announcements and the SBB personnel. Big kudos to SBB for the planning and efficient handling of the situation!
