Do not blame yourself, but simply accept it as an accident... | | | | | 99.9% of the time you'd have all got away with it. Wrong place, wrong time. It could happen running across the road.

Anyway... offtopic, but how do you manage to live day to day, a bottle of coca cola costs 3.5chf! Everything is seemingly twice the price of the rest of Europe.

Continuing the ... We used the public fountains to drink from, not to fill bottles, (we used bathrooms for that). We also assumed people (drunk tourists) piss in those fountains and it recycles the water up from the basins.

Everything is seemingly twice the price of the rest of Europe. | | | | | Where is the rest of Europe =?? In areas where you pay CHF 5 for a bottle of Coca Cola ? And does a 5dl tin of beer generally cost less than CHF 0.45 ?
and a one-litre bottle of decent red wine less than CHF 2.-- ? You can get a one litre bottle of cola (whatever brand) for CHF -.70 to CHF 2.-- in quite many places. And what about a bar of really good milk chocolate for CHF -.45
And one kilo of Spaghetti for CHF -.95. You say that this is generally available for CHF -.50 elsewhere ? THIS is "life day to day" | | The following 2 users would like to thank Wollishofener for this useful post: | |

You assume incorrectly. They're not drunk and they're not tourists. It's dangerous to make assumptions... but you know this through bitter experience.

someone took a sip from a fountain, did not see signs stating it was fresh water. Assumptions are always that... assumptions, never stated or even implied it was fact. Rest of Europe for me meaning England, where I live, where a bottle of soda is £1.50. Spain, France, Holland, other places I've been. Sorry for taking us way off topic. I'm sure a lot of the prices I saw were tourist inflated.
Anyway, if anyone has a serious question I'm open and here.

There are signs if you can't drink the water. If in doubt use common sense. | Quote: | | | | | Anyway... offtopic, but how do you manage to live day to day, a bottle of coca cola costs 3.5chf! | | | | | You can get Coca Cola for much less than that. A 0.5 liter bottle at Coop is around 1.20 and a 1.5 liter bottle is a little more than 2 Francs IIRC. | Quote: | | | | | Everything is seemingly twice the price of the rest of Europe. | | | | | Yes, but many wages, above all for low-/medium-skilled work, are also much higher than in the rest of Europe.
