Another case of misandry (man-hate) in the media. The victim (a Man) is portrayed as the agressor, or at least accused of "deserving it"…

This is nothing new. Western World has become a civilization that undervalues men and overvalues women, where the state forcibly transfers resources from men to women creating perverse incentives for otherwise good women to conduct great evil against men, and where male nature is vilified but female nature is celebrated.

It is yet again another case of media sensationalism, because the reporter couldn't rezist to add unrelevant info, such as victim's love-life. I can imagine the indignant righteous neighbour Angela Something saying the man was a bad sort 'cause he had way too many young and nice girlfriends....

I do agree on the sensationalism of the article, not on the conclusions of OP though

If you looked at the paper, go to the front page for example, see how many stories are about men, and how many about women. look at the articles about men, and the articles about women, then tell us that again.

Although that site does have a slight bias feel to it, many of the points have a surprising amount of truth to them. I first came across these opinions a few years ago in a women's study course in undergrad. I took it for an easy credit (and have contact with women outside of engineering), but learned quite a bit about gender roles and revolutions.

It's the 20 minute. You can't expect "proper" reporting.

That OP never said wrong, he just commented on how that "news" is badly written and unfair about that man.

It's terribly sad what has happened and not right that the media are reporting irrelevant details about the man's background. RIP.

Did they really argue he had it coming because he had lots of female friends? Sorry, I read the article too this morning and somehow I never got to that conclusion... they did speculate that there is a strong possibility that the woman shot him (speculation too, by the way) because he was unfaithful, yet I fail to realise how that makes this attack on a human being any less despicable..

In the UK they quickly arrest and prosecute anyone making illegal or incorrect comments.

It seems that here nothing similar happens.

Anyway correct or not, I'd not draw any conclusion from "comments"...Especially you don't know why they were given. Maybe jealous people, maybe he was an arsehole, etc... Nonetheless he had 2 children and that sucks (for them).
