When my missus drives, when she's talking the speed of the car slows by around 40km/hr over the time, and when she's done getting her point across she steadily speeds up again. I've tried to teach her into using the cruise control, not a chance.

Looking at the chart, it seems the spike between 0700 and 0900 hours is due to the rise of the "yummy mumies" doing the school run in their chelsea tractors all while negotiating traffic, asking the kids to behave and sorting out date night with the bit on the side

Cruise control, eh, what's that? A gadget in Mission Impossible 13?

Well, I'm yet to benefit from it anyway, so this year will be no different.

Secondary option to the ejector seat from a James Bond film in my option.

Re: To confirm what we all know...

It's all about statistics, according to an AA survey, men have more accidents but women have more accidents per mile driven. Men in general have more accidents because they drive more miles, so in theory if a man and a woman both asked for a quote based on the same annual mileage then the man should have the cheaper quote ... strangely though that never happens

Well fear no more as the European directive on gender descrimination comes into action there will no longer be any difference in insurance premiums based on what type of gear you carry in your pants (or lack of it)

Re: To confirm what we all know...

Now I need some advice.

Imagine going to the pub with my wife by car.
I get drunk but my wife doesn't drink alcohol at all.

Who should drive back?

From a scientific point of view, I think it is better not to drive:
- the passenger seat is safer because of no steering wheel
- if you are drunk, you muscles are more relaxed which helps the chances of surviving

From a romantical point of view, the woman should drive: "of course you are a good driver" (make sure to sound credible or tell it in the dark so that she cannot see the expression on your face)

From a financial point: definitely the woman. No fines because of alcohol and the insurance will pay.
