Naked woman murdered in the shower at the Lucerne train station

As part of Lucerne's Tatort Fasnacht theme, the Rotsee Husaren Guggenmusik set up a scene from Psycho at the Lucerne train station. Due to many complaints about showing violence against women and/or for being distasteful, they have now taken it down.

What do you think? Overreaction or too provokative?

What a cool idea. Good grief, Hitchcock would be dismayed.

This is just gross. Is it supposed to be art?

It's part of Lucerne's Fasnacht theme: Tatort Luzerner Fasnacht.

She wasn't naked. She was wearing knickers. Even in the shot for shot remake, you can still see them (as the body bag is removed).

So this year Fasnacht will be a land of drunken ghouls in Luzern as it's official theme? What's different from last year, other then the official part?

If I remember correctly (and it wasn''t my head at an odd angle) the exhibit was hanging at a 45 degree angle anyway, So she did well to stand up.

I have once seen a screen by screen screening of the two version. Cannot remember the knickers but the money stolen has increased considerably. ($40,000 vs. $400,000)

PS: Next ewz.stadtkino is from February 12. to 24.

Re: Naked woman murdered in the shower at the Lucerne train station

People complained saying it was because of violence on women? So if it was a man in there it would OK or what? Honestly, these reactions are way over the top. It's Fasnacht for heavens sake.

Re: Naked woman murdered in the shower at the Lucerne train station

In my opinion, which may be too conservative for some, kids who walk through the station do not need to be seeing something like that. My 5 year old would start asking too many questions. They just don't need that in their little minds at such a young age. Violence against women..well that part is just a load of crap.

My thoughts exactly. Why would there even need to be a discussion like with children? I mean, what is so much different in what is called a Psycho theme this year, will probably be interpreted in a Halloween one, but then having to go the extra mile and put up a CSI kind of death scene? It doesn't make any sense. If it was meant as an "art" exhibit, which I am sure it really wasn't, it should be in a confined space where people, by choice enter it, with the understanding of what they potentially might see.

This sort of thing is just a mistake.
