Interestingly, not a mention in the foreign press as yet. I wonder if the same would apply if the shooting had occured in the US?

Well thanks GWB and his buddies the hatred toward Americans(*) has persisted even though the current POTUS's popularity is at an all-time high both inside and outside the U.S.

Personally I never use my American passport except for trips to United States because it really sucks to be an American in the 21st century.

There are always going to be nutcases in society. Mental health issues affect a lot of people and you're never going to be sure if / when you can expect them to retain full clarity. Even seemingly sane people can have bad days.

Now put a loaded gun in their hands and you have a potential killer.

Ditto all the previous, present and future arguments about firearms. Guns shouldn't have a place in an organized society.

sympathies to the victims, their families and all involved. no matter how old I get and how many of these incidents I read or hear about, I will never understand them.

So that people there must be in total shock as such things are to happen in Zürich or Geneva or Basel but sure not in their place
