Because elderly people realize the difference swiftly, and because horse-meat smells badly. Had such stuff once -- it is horrible
Keep eating the nursery food...

My kids love horse, kangaroo, venison, rabbit too.

Then you had BAD horse meat.

Good horse meat smells and tastes great!

Tom
That.

Of course "tastes great" is most subjective but if Wolli happens to like venison there's a very fair chance he likes horse as well.

I just didn't get the Europe-wide outcry when that fraud became known where lasagne contained (hungarian?) horse meat. Granted it was fraud and had to be stopped but that wassn't the reason for the outcry, it was because it was horse meat.

One of the ZRH APT restaurants for decades had KANGAROO on their menu, Quite good except that I strongly suspected that those kangaroos had miaoued around in the Zch area not too long before

What is an APT restaurant? If it is high end, then they are unlikely to sell you cat without advertising the exclusivity of it. If it is low end then they aren't likely to have bothered with a low yield animal like a cat. This aside from the space and bother required to skin and dress ANY animal on the premises.

I thought the same.

Kangaroo's actually pretty cheap here. It's not farmed so there are no costs there - it's culled as there are too many of them and their damaging the environment.

The downside is the meat is shipped from Australia but if people feel so bad about that then they shouldn't, for example, shop at Migros where many chicken products actually come from Brazil.

I'd argue that it mostly isn't. Other wise they'd be no Michelin Guide, no Michelin stars, Trip Advisor restaurant reviews wouldn't exist. Newspaper restaurant reviews wouldn't exist and so on.

So, generally, people like the same thing and think great food is great food.
People may be subjective in their views but choosing a restaurant, for example, can be a fairly objective exercise.

My statement is from the individual's perspective, you are talking generalization. Within any sufficiently large group you can find an exception to virtually every rule.

I'd say APT stands for airport as he also used the airport shorthand.
