Maybe that's part of his tax reducing strategy. As someone else suggested, his flat in Wollerau is probably not going to be his primary residence for ever but must appear to be so for the moment.

Perhaps he's start building in a year or two?
That might be possible. But, as I wrote: I guess Federer right now doesn't know yet where he wants to live in the future at all.

And if you just want to avoid taxes you can live anywhere if your lawyers are smart enough BTW.

If he would want to avoid taxes he would have moved to Monte Carlo long ago, like Djokovic for example.
Sure. But out of the 50 Mil he made last year were just over 4 from actual tennis. The rest is advertisement and many of the brands he works with hire him because of his Swissness. I don't think he would still get the deal from a large Swiss insurance, a very Swiss coffee machine maker or a Swiss bank if he'd save his taxes in Monte Carlo. Simply put: He is very very rich... but to pay taxes do you first need to earn and his main source is his immaculate Swiss advertisement profile.

Given how much backlash he already got for moving to Schwyz - something which is absolutely normal for any board member or senior manager - is it apparently not politically correct if you play tennis.

I can't work out if the illustration is computer-generated imagery, or an actual photo.
It is an architect's drawing.

Unfortunately, it is also the real life colour scheme!
