Cspo

Is it a political party in German speaking Switzerland? If yes, what do they stand for?

Re: Cspo

I think I've worked out it is what's called "PDC" (Parti Démocrate Chrétien) here in Romandie, but for Kanton Wallis. Tell me anyone if I'm wrong.

Re: Cspo

It could be translated as Parti Socialiste Chretien

But sorry, I am not "a jour" with the smaller political parties here

I would use "Social" rather than "socialiste"...not on the same side of the political spectrum!

Re: Cspo

It's a party present only in the germanic-speaking part of canton wallis, apparently it was the left wing of the local chapter of CVP (the christian democratic party) that splintered off in 1949 because the CVP was too conservative on the social front for them (at the time at least), so they're catholic socialists basically but it's more of a matter of people and local spats than ideologies for this kind of party i guess, in the federal parliament they are all in the same centrist philo-christian group anyway.
