Re: Serious accident on A2 with bus from England

(Cancelled my previous thread)
There was a bad crash today at 12:20 between 3 lorries and an English coach travelling from Italy to the UK. Crash was on the A2 motorway, just north of Lucerne, 41 injured, 4 badly injured, no deaths at present. 20 ambulances and 3 helicopters attending. Contra-flow traffic is/was operating at the crash site, this is the 4th crash at these roadworks this week! Let's hope they all make a speedy recovery.

Traffic report, a 5 km tail back, 45 minute delay! Make a wide detour.

Re: Serious accident on A2 with bus from Wales

From the film when the coach was towed away, it seems the Coach is from Edwards Coach Hire at Pontypridd in Wales, (not England)

The Swiss Post truck ran into the back of the stopped vehicles, and shunted them all together.

Are yes, we don't mind, but the Welsh usually get very upset. Like foreigners naming Zurich your capital!

BBC news also confirms today, a coach from south Wales (not a bus from England!): http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-34162647

Then it is a great pity that this misconception of the indigenous population is not rectified.

Best regards from an English woman - and proud to be so - who has lived in your country for over 40 years!

Re: Serious accident on A2 with bus from England

A director of the Welsh coach company stated the bus was a new Mercedes, and this contributed to the few serious injuries, after the Swiss Post truck ran into the back of the stationary Welsh bus,
