Four murdered in Rupperswil

Apparently, the perpetrator(s) tried to hide the fact by burning down the house.

Re: Four murdered in Rupperswil

Speculation on the motive has changed from a family drama to a robbery-murder. The Blick "knows" that some of the victims were bond and gagged before being killed and burned. The head of the household made two withdrawals from area banks on Monday morning, the second being at 10:10 am. At 11:20 am neighbors saw a fire at the duplex and called the fire brigade. The investigation is running at high speed in all directions:

An update on the murder investigation in Ct. Aargau:

1. The police are asking anyone whose vehicle made "dashcam" recordings between 7am and 11:30am on Monday in the Rupperswil, Aargau area to contact the police.

2. Two unknown men were treated for cut wounds at a Wohlen, Aargau pharmacy on Monday afternoon and are searching for them.

Re: Four murdered in Rupperswil

A reward of CHF 100'000 has been established for anyone providing leads to the arrest of the murderer(s) of the Rupperswil (AG) family in late December 2015. An "Appeal for Information" flyer has been published in multiple languages. English at this link:

Perp caught.
Horrible details emerge (all over the news).

I'm sure that once word gets out in jail, he needs to stay in solitary for a while.

Geez, what a sicko.

That's interesting, considering the many EF posts that suggest such evidence is inadmissible.

It is in court but it may give the police leads to follow up. If the guys don't admit it they could walk even if they can clearly be seen in the video.

Gosh. is that really the case? That a murder, or evidence linked to murder, captured on video, is inadmissible in court...?

Re: Four murdered in Rupperswil

After reading this terrible story makes me wonder about gun laws here in Switzerland ... and think about getting a gun to protect my house and family. Not that I am in favor of carrying guns or anything but I wonder how it would have changed the story if they had some. Though I can imagine in CH that if a Perp enters the premises threatening everyone is not as simple as shooting him as soon as he enter or is it?

From the little twisted information provided by the various news outlets it would appear that no weapon possessed by the family would have prevented this.

The only thing that, apparently, would have prevented this from happening is if the 13 year old had shot dead the person the moment that he rang the door bell.

I will fight toe and nail that this country will never, ever fall back into such a barbarian state of society. It is, unfortunately, a fact of life that other nations struggle with geographical pockets of existence of such a society. That should provide ample warning to anybody considering transplanting that here.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_po...in_Switzerland "[...] there were reported by US-American newspapers (with their supposedly own agenda) to be 3.4 million civilian guns in circulation in Switzerland, which would give the country a gun ownership rate of about 45.7 per 100 people, the third-highest in the world [...]" according to these statistics it would seem I that am the only one without a gun in CH ...

So go get one. It's simple once you have a permit C and if you are not part of some specific ethnic group (I am not kidding; it's tied to nationality though) (https://www.admin.ch/opc/de/classifi...208/index.html and https://www.admin.ch/opc/de/classifi...148/index.html).

Lock it away, keep ammunition separate, locked away, too.

Now - what exactly do you do with that locked-away weapon, then? What's the point? The only reason to have such a weapon is to have it readily available for use[*]. And that kills - people and society.

[*] I am aware of shooting sports. That's irrelevant for the discussion of "owning a distance weapon for active and continuous use in self-protection".

These figures are probably without any real base, because based on very old estimations before 2000.

And the very same text says as well just one line before but deliberately ignored by the poster:

Quote:
According to recent (2014) estimations of guns per 100 residents is about 25, which is, for example, lower than Germany, France, or Austria.

Re: Four murdered in Rupperswil

Interestingly in this case, the counsel for the defense, Renate Senn, has openly expressed the opinion, more or less, that her client, is as guilty as hell and deserves all that is coming to him.
Under less 'trying' circumstances, the pretense of seeking to represent the interests of the client is usual, especially before a formal verdict is reached.
