| The first interview was with the foreign affairs editor of 'Chronicles Magazine' which describes itself as a 'leading paleoconservative journal'. I stopped watching after that. | |

I watched the whole thing. I tried to view it with an open mind , some points I agreed with in the beginning, then I started laughing at how ridiculous it was. Non of those interviewed are truly credible. Some have pen names that hide their true identity and mislead viewers. The ex- Hamas turned Christian man reminded me of the terrorist interviewed by Borat (in fact the the guy on the Borat film claims he is just a shopkeeper and is suing Borat) However the problem is that this is what people believe; that all Muslims have a hidden agenda to conquer the world and the Swiss along with all Europeans are destined to become dhimmies.
If Swiss Muslims want to be accepted they have to allay these fears, they must become more visible and open about their religion, otherwise more may believe that they have something to hide. Religious leaders have a responsibility to set an example. There is unrest in Turkey, the Turkish courts banned the pro -Kurdish DTP for having links with the PKK. So violence erupted. What happens in Switzerland with ethnic Turks can influence what happens in Turkey. The more influence the Swiss have with Turkey, to my mind, the better, but they need to start with meaningful dialogue and cooperation, not misunderstanding, suspicion and alienation. For the ordinary Swiss, Switzerland will benefit from closer economic ties (electricity form the gas that flows through Turkey is one example) and a better economy is beneficial to all.
I guess anyone can be made into a terrorist!
