On 12th March 2010 at around 00.35, there was a fire in a boarding-school in Bluche. 44 persons had to be evacuated.

The fire started, for unknown reasons, in a room on the 2nd floor. The alarm got raised by an automated fire alarm. The fireworkers went to the scene immediately. The students were evacuated and brought over to other lodgings of the boarding school.

There was a lot of damage, but no casualties. An investigation in order to find out the exact reason of the fire, was launched by the state-prosecution of Mittel-Wallis (central Valais).
