Interesting article. The group's definition of a feminist is certainly not mine. But I have seen some beligerent tendencies in some US feminists. Given the past situation of women this seems understandable.
I'm all for men having as much constructive, healthy contact with their children before or after divorce.
Anyhow, by all means, let the discussion and development understanding of heterosexual relationships continue! |

Not to sound mean, but I've met plenty of women that use kids as weapons. I've also witnessed women using them as ATM's.
I've witnessed abusive mothers get kids in custody battles solely because they are female. One kept hers after her own mother stated that she thought she was unfit.
As a parent, all of those make me ill. For full disclosure, I'm married and have 2 kids (no others) with my wife.

Really, though, imho being "antifeminist" is like being "antisocialist" - how forms of each are there, again? Unless they're rather narrow-minded, it must be hard to oppose all forms of feminism ... I got a feeling that they're mostly opposed to radical feminism, but quite possibly some of their members would prefer that women went back into the kitchen and stayed there, except to clean and care for children ... | | The following 2 users would like to thank araqyl for this useful post: | |

I found nothing funny about the fact that there are fathers who have to fight to see their own children, and feel unjustly treated by government organizations when they are fighting a custody battle.
What I found amusing is that there is finally a group trying to stand up to those radical feminist organizations, and that some feminists are actually protesting this meeting. I just can't imagine this will go well in the future...

Their goal is to improve men's rights, they could just call themselves.... pro-masculinism. Anti-feminists sounds like a group of haters meeting up.

I think we should break this down. Who exactly are this mysterious group of 'radical femininists'?. Radical feminism is a phrase oft misused and misunderstood by the way.
And how exactly have these 'feminists' managed to have this magical power over the courts (which by the way are largely made up of white middle class men of a certain generation.)
All sounds like a load of bollocks to me in the same way that the British National Party claim not to be racist.

Women have had to start various movements throughout history to have equal rights.
They were feminists.
We're not really anymore because we don't need to be. They won arguments (right to vote, right to be educated etc) that we now consider as normal even though we're still battling glass ceilings here and there.
Though in cases of divorce there may be some inequality between genders, most often it's the woman that ends up with the poverty issues and all family responsibilities.

There is inequality between the sexes, let's just get on with it. Women and men are different but function very well working and living together (not that there is any issue with other ways either) so, let's just get on with it. Yes, women have more rights in today's world and sometimes more than men. Yes, women still earn less and suffer some forms of discrimination.
Bottom line is that any bigotry is wrong, including one of the most common ones that I find myself subjected to now days which is the fact that I am a man and therefore are likely a woman hater, and it is not just women that treat men like that now days. It is men as well.
I don't blame these guys for wanting stand up for a bit of male equality at all, just as long as not bigoted in their behaviour. Personally I think most of the problem is perceptual and not actual.
