Parking help

Hi folks,

Getting a short term lease on a car (just 6 weeks) but have no place in the city to park.

Was wondering if there are any legal, safe, and/or free places to park on the burbs or countryside for a few days (without needing to move)?

Thanks for any insight.

Cheers!
Jill

Re: Parking help

Thanks for replying Lob Rockster.
Not sure that's going to work, I'm in the old town area and there doesn't seem too much street parking available. I've been canvassing the streets but don't see anything available for more then a few hours at best.
It's looking like a rental through Homegate is probably our best bet...

Re: Parking help

There are underground garages and parking places available. I have one in Wiedikon for example. There are loads of spaces available and people often rent temporary spaces.

Re: Parking help

In Lausanne you can get a temporary parking pass. I.e. If I have visitors, I can go to the parking office & buy them a pass for the time they are hear. You should probably get one for the nearest resident zone. I don't know if Zurich has letter resident zones like we do here.
